My life has been pretty chaotic lately with a lot of ups and downs, sorrows and joys, certainty and unknowns. There are two things I have felt the Lord speaking to my heart one is to wait on Him and the other is to give thanks.
I don't really have a lot more to say on this but His word does...
"For the word of the Lord is upright, and all his work is done in faithfulness. He loves righteousness and justice and the earth is full of the steadfast love of the Lord....the counsel of the Lord stands forever, the plans of His heart to all generations...the Lord looks down from heaven; He sees all the children of man from where he sits enthroned he looks out on all the inhabitants of the earth, he who fashions the hearts of them all and observes all their deeds...behold the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, on those whose hope is in His steadfast love, that He may deliver their soul from death and keep them alive in famine. Our soul waits for the Lord; he is our help and our shield. For our heart is glad in Him, because we trust in His holy name. Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us, even as we hope in." Psalm 33
"Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so...He led them by a straight way til the reached a city to dwell in. Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love, for His wondrous works to the children of men! For He satisfies the longing soul, and the hungry soul he fills with good things...He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and burst their bonds apart. Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love...He sent out his word and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction. Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love." Psalm 107
"From of old no one has heard or perceived by the ear, no eye has seen a God besides you, who acts for the one who waits for him. You meet him who joyfully works righteousness, those who remember you in your ways" Isaiah 64:4 (I know this isn't a Psalm but It's the verse the Lord gave me for this year and seems fitting here as well :) )
And finally one of my favorite songs, Psalm 145. He is worthy to be praised...
