The God of Hope

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Romans 15:13 What a blessing this verse has been to me these last few weeks. Does the word "uncertainty" sound familiar to anyone??? Not only are our own personal lives filled with it, but as we look at the world around us we can't help but notice the uncertainty of the times. But then as I return to God's Word, which is never changing and yet always up to date, I am reminded of the hope that we have in Christ which offers to us joy and peace eternally! He is the God of Hope! But what does it say? It says that we will be filled with joy and peace as we trust in Him! Lights should be flashing now... that's the answer, trust in Him. The God who created the universe and everything in it, including you, is in control, he has a plan, a perfect one at that, and it involves you, whom He loves so much He gave Himself up for you on a cross, that you might have life and have it abundantly. Wow! Praise God! We have a hope of eternal life and it starts now! When we place our trust in God, we will overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives. And one more thing, (if you can believe there's more!) in those times of uncertainty, when we must wait on God to see His will come to pass, He is molding and shaping us to be more like Jesus and this is a gift! Waiting on God often requires waiting through uncertainty and trusting that He is with you (Joshua 1:9 helps us with that one) and that His ways are perfect. Praise God today for the hope He has offered you, a hope that brings joy and peace today! God Bless you!
