Birthday! Birthday!

So, I LOVE my birthday! I make a really big deal out of it, I have countdowns, I tell everyone I know that it is coming and I love that all of the attention is on me for one day of the year! Getting older has done nothing to change that... I just LOVE my birthday! Call me what you will, I don't care...I'm going to keep on loving that one special day a year ;)

This year was awesome! I started counting down with my students on the first of the month... they made a whiteboard mural with a countdown for the last week. On the day of, a few of my students decorated my room, gave me a giant card, made me gluten free brownies and even decorated my car! What a sweet day!

The evening of I went to dinner with...well, almost our whole church! No, not really, but there were a lot of people there! I was so blessed to have so many dear friends in one place and for the sweet reminder of the amazing family I have here in Thousand Oaks, God has blessed me beyond what I could have asked for!
