grace
it's funny that my blog is titled "standing in grace" because I don't think I really know what that means. I will extend it to others all day, but when it comes to myself , I constantly condemn myself and feel like a failure. I know that God has extended His grace to me and I trust in my salvation through the blood of Jesus, but it's the daily things where I struggle. It's my relationships with others where I always feel like I'm not good enough and tend to have a works based concept of their love for me. I pray that God will teach me this not only so I can walk in grace, but for those in my life, who do extend it to me and I have trouble receiving it. Maybe none of this makes sense, but I hope in Jesus to work out His character in me and to teach me His ways. More soon...

Hey, Philemon 6 says this,"That the communication of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgement of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus." In other words, your faith as a Christian, to heal the sick, or simply praying for the lost to find Jesus, is only effective when you acknowledge every good thing in you that is also in Christ Jesus. And you can't acknowledge anything good about yourself if you haven't forgiven yourself and put the past behind you. The things you're still ashamed of? God forgave you of that a long time ago, the person who did those things is dead, may they rest in peace. Don't go digging up buried bones. Satan wants you to dwell on the past because if you do, it gives him ammo. Our flesh wants us to worry about the future which is pointless because the future will never happen. Why? If it happens, it's the present because we live in the present and not tomorrow. There's always something to worry about for tomorrow. But God's name is, "I AM." He wants you to forgive yourself, move past the past, and "acknowledge every good thing which IS in you in Christ Jesus." Notice the word says, "is" NOT "will be" or "was." So, this is what God wants you to know. He calls you his child in whom he is well pleased. And don't worry about the past which belongs to a dead man. As you said yourself in your 05/22/07 blog: "Let us chose TODAY to not be moved."
