People like to the ask the question, "Have you ever been in love?"
What does that mean exactly? In my opinion, the popular meaning of "in love" has nothing do with what true love is. To be "in love" describes a feeling, an emotion that can change based on circumstances. To love is a choice, but more so it is a choice put into action.
"By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us." 1 John 3:16
"For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son..." John 3:16
God demonstrated love by making a choice and putting it into action.
Choose today to love; to love your savior, to love your spouse, to love your family, to love your friends, to love your enemies.
Love is more than a word, more than a feeling, its a choice to place another above yourself, to lay down your life that another might gain.
"And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren." 1 John 3:16 "Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails." 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 May we learn to love as Christ loves us...
